@BrandSanderson Asked my husband if we had a spare $100K hanging around for a book. He asked what it was, & I started, "So you know Margaret Atwood__" & he interrupted with, "What, it's not even by Sanderson??" (So much for the unburnable Handmaid's Tale!)

@Jeopardamy Thank you SO much, Amy! My six-year-old son is your biggest fan and he was absolutely distraught when you lost, but he's already excited to see you on the Tournament of Champions. I'm so glad he went on this journey with you. Congrats and we can't wait to see what comes next! <3

@Videlais Highly recommend @lapetino's Art of Atari (art, marketing, interviews) and @winphillips's A Composer's Guide to Game Music for texts.

@Videlais My best advice is don't fall into the trap of "game history" ONLY = designing/programming. I know 6 weeks is short, but try to fit in a lesson on something like art, music, marketing, writing, etc. to remind students games are made up of so many varied disciplines.

I'm teaching a course called "Evolution of Video Games" this summer focused on the history of video games. Since the primary way most students will be playing older games is through emulation, I'll be highlighting the role it plays in how we now understand them. 1/4
