If Owen Tippett indeed has a sports hernia. Honestly, I do not expect much of him until February of next year. The Flyers have had bad luck with these surgeries (Drysdale, Girouux, Ghost, Hates), most recently Drysdale. Drysdale wasn't 100% until February of last year

They just haven't taken a step forward. One can blame the injury to Tyson Foerster, but he was hurt for Torts too. Risto was always hurt for Torts too. Rick Tocchet has been stubborn, for example, continuing to place Matvei Michkov on the left side, until the deadline

The Flyers are no better than they were for the past 2 years. It's crazy because the Goaltending from Dan Vladar has been superb for the most part, and that was the weak link during John Tortorella's tenure. The Flyers are boring to watch right now, and that's the main problem

@jasonmyrt So sorry to hear this but the fact that you'll be able to spread out your testing sounds so encouraging I just found out yesterday my lung cancer nodule has grown and now there are additional nodules in my right lung I had 3 months of remission, that's it PET scan Monday

I will not be performing tomorrow’s Flyers Daily episode. I have really been struggling lately, especially mentally. I had a sudden and significant spike in a blood marker very prevalent with Colorectal Cancer called CEA from a blood test 11 days ago. My oncologist scheduled me instantly for new CT Scans of my chest and abdomen which I had last Thursday. And an MRI of my pelvis which I had this morning. I have an appt tomorrow morning with my oncologist to go over the results which appear to be good news. But this mental element of dealing with Cancer is very real and very rough. I won’t sugarcoat it. I left the game after the 2nd intermission out of energy and mentally exhausted. I will get a good nights rest and reset to get back after it tomorrow. @BSmithFlyers has the pod covered for everyone. Thanks for understanding. @BillColarulo Most of us Flyers fans are used to sports radio not talking about hockey. I did hear Marks say in WIP that he does not talk about hockey. That was then. I appreciate the talk, miss it as a matter of fact. Please keep it up. There is no pleasing some fans.

Flyers fans, I love you, but you have to stop with the gatekeeping. You get mad when people aren’t talking about hockey, then even angrier when they do. Every time we talk about it on the show (which is quite often actually) the gate keepers come out. I played the game from when I was 6 years old. In high school and college too. A Flyers season ticket holder for several years before I started sports talk. Do I now pass the test to be allowed to talk about the Flyers? Stop gate keeping. If we want the Flyers to be talked about, let people talk about them. The more the merrier. Make the Flyers relevant again. They have a good team and are trending in the right direction.
