Our goal to provide a layer of safety for drivers & safety officials is here. 2 years of development & evaluations, we present our patented Fuel BreakValve assembly. Fuel on a track is dangerous. Keeping a tank on is ideal, but this keeps fuel inside the tank. Now available.

@ripjetson9 Actually ... Elongation measures stretch before breaking. 19% not a concern. Your assertion that it yields and breaks instantly is not correct. It simply takes 116psi for the tube to start deforming (yield), it then stretch's almost 20%, and then breaks at 122psi (tensile).

Whats earth shattering is it yields at 116,500!!! and it fractures just 5,500 pounds later. That has no room for stretch. As soon as it starts to deform it breaks

@ripjetson9 You are missing a bunch of context. Attached is a mill cert from Plymouth. Note the 100 HRB. Also, a chart that shows WebCo, Plymouth, and Benteler that we have had lab tested over the years. I don't think HRB of 101 is as earth shattering as you seem to be implying.

@ripjetson9 Why not just mode a solid tube access the tail tank molded in place of the instert. Oh wait I know why $$$ NO company wants to pay for a new mold. We are not a big enough industry to make your money back.

Scream at me if you want but i think mounting anything thru the sealing flange of the bladder is a bad idea 6) 1/4” fine thread bolts going into the shitty aluminum threads of the flange isn’t much to begin with. And if it does peel the bolts out or of it bends the flange the bladder seal is compromised
Danny Dietrich@dannydietrich

So in January of 2025 we were told we are going to need 6 mounting points on a fuel cell in 2026. In February of 2025 I showed up with the newly designed tether (below) to Volusia and was told the tether system was not going to be allowed, and was actually not allowed on the car due to not being an approved @WorldofOutlaws part. The reasoning was that Tom D had seen silver crown cars split tanks in half with a TWO tether system that had a thin center. (Keep in mind those are hugeeee fuel cells, like 75 gallon.) Fast forward to October 21st. @WorldofOutlaws still have not publicly come out and said how we are supposed to add the 2 extra said mounting points. We have a few designs to look at but nothing saying this or that. I have reached out to quite a few higher ups that don't see the issue regarding updated tether system with a thicker center, a third tether pulling down, and being made from titanium. I am in no way affiliated with Greber other then im trying to come up with something better than what has been presented to us. When I see the rendering of the tabs on the front of the cell... I have a ton of questions like "are we going to continue to rely on how big the fender washer is behind that plastic" or do we really think we can't pull that nut through the slot of the plate? We're also still relying on plastic that is ONLY 1/8" THICK! Also, are these tech officials, @HighLimitRacing included, really actually gonna look to see if they are properly mounted, or even there, behind panels, behind a seat, unders seat belts, and so on. Probably not. It all just gets old. So much tunnel vision. So much bullshit that goes on, on this side of racing. This stuff should have been figured out the week after the Knoxville National (after the safety meeting) And dont get me started on the @HoosierTire Racing tire tests that have been going on.
