@ipaddockapps So if burning gains your 20-40kg n then how would that compare to cutting the straw now (stripper) as mushroom dudes want it.(also getting paid a little for it) Is it the act of burning or just the lower residue to breakdown that is saving the N?

So in the edge case that urea doesn't land in Au this year: Brainstorming strategies to reduce N requirement &/or increase yield under constrained N. Is it a year to burn stubbles? Tillage (with what fuel!) ? What else?

@brodenholland definitely something in these additives. When I lived in the uk years ago the cheap English bread there made me bloated but the French bread was no dramas. Now our aust bread does the same. So hard to find non fortified bread or flour. Intermittent fasting has helped enormously

Why is all of Australian flour made mandated that it must be fortified with folic acid when 40% of the population has a gene that reduces the ability to convert it to folate. This surely needs to be looked into. Explains some of my gut issues....

@brill_ag @theGRDC We did this last year Rohan after seeing your info. Was a game changer at sowing time with ease of planting with zero blocks in the seeder tubes from trying to push beans and fert thru hoses. Previously had to slow way down and monitor for hose blockage. 👏👏

Spreading single super on 2025 pulse paddocks this week. Will add 30 kg/ha MAP at sowing - trial at Caragabal in 2024 showed a small benefit of P in-furrow for faba beans, versus broadcast and incorporated by sowing (IBS). Soil was slightly acidic and 56 mg/kg Colwell P

Now to the question. What everyone use to kill gm canola post harvest that’s re shooting. Looking for cheep options. I know expensive works but where not covering seed costs so far.

2024 she’s still kicking. Nearly impossible to harvest last week. Now think it might be getting past a joke. Bring on 25 should have cut for hay but wasn’t much there.

@CKMonty Same thing happened to me last year. Was on edge of the road when I met a truck and clipped the post on the edge and it cut straight thru the tyre sidewall. Huge bang and nearly dragged me off the road. Sharp buggers.

Looks like I won't be sowing tonight. Sprayer has a piece of metal in the tyre. Council mowed the sides of the road yrsstetday, and it looked like part of a guide post chopped up by the slasher.

@ipaddockapps Yea mic. Besides bad wires they just wear out. Have changed a couple over the years and know few others that have. Now have spare just in case as will chase tail tying to battle Thru.

Rates were fluctuating and the drive stopping on our ground drive Simplicity aircart, can the electric clutches give trouble particularly when its very dusty? Recommended fixes? We're running it using the hydraulic calibrator at the moment to keep going! #asktwitter

@Fox_Farming Yea I did mate. Actually welded a piece of angle iron across the bottom where your chain is. Only used 1 bolt hole of the motor thru the angle iron. Been there about 9 years now. 💪

Has anyone converted an Amazone 3000 ultra profis to hydraulic drive from pto. Thought this would work but the pivoting gearbox has got me stumped. Too much vibration on the motor and gearbox for my liking.
