These fast moving cells are not great, in my experience, at yielding high snowfall totals (as compared to solid stratiform precip shield), and at this point in the storm I’d say the mesoscale details are working against some of the high-end predicted totals. Long way to go…

@nplareau Couldn't agree more and have been thinking the same thing. I think we're on the lower to mid range of the forecast now. Will be interesting to see if it becomes more uniform with the better forcing later today.
