Snow showers NW of the lake on Wednesday over performed and dumped another 1-2 feet of snow, with 8-13" for everyone else. That brings the 3-day storm totals to 5-8 feet and counting.

If you’re wondering why the freeway is closed.. this is why. Donner Summit is not in the mood today. High winds are creating full whiteout conditions across the summit. Snow is blowing right back onto the roadway, and visibility is near zero.
