If I don’t say this it’ll stay on my mind, so even if it’s late I still want to share it. I genuinely think people don’t fully understand why PS fans are this upset and frustrated. This frustration did not start this week. It did not start because of one concert announcement. And it is definitely not about attacking other couples. It’s frustration that has been building up since the beginning of the year from constantly feeling ignored, overlooked, and treated like concerns only matter after PS fans already go through everything first. The problems already started during Love You Teacher. Throughout almost the entire airing period, LYT was geoblocked internationally with barely any communication about where international fans were supposed to legally watch it. Other series airing around the same time at least had their first episodes uploaded to YouTube or clearer platform announcements while LYT fans spent weeks confused until Viki information suddenly appeared around episode 7 or 8. Promotion was also extremely lacking compared to other projects airing at the same time. PerthSanta barely attended variety shows or promotional schedules for the series, reaction videos stopped after episode 3 while other dramas continued getting reactions for every episode, TikTok uploads were delayed for days, and some posts even had sharing disabled completely. Fans were trying to promote the series themselves while basic promotional support from the company felt inconsistent the entire time. Other series were getting Fanival events or Live House content while PerthSanta only received similar support after the series almost ended. Even OST releases were delayed while songs from other dramas were already being uploaded to Spotify and Apple Music almost immediately. And scheduling constantly worked against the series too. During LYT airing days there were repeatedly multiple events placed on the exact same day as episode releases almost every single week, making it even harder for the drama to properly keep momentum and attention. At the same time, a huge portion of fandom accounts were getting suspended on Twitter/X which already made promotion and organization harder for the fandom itself. ‼️So by the time the concert process started, people were already exhausted.‼️ And then there was basically “no break between the end of the series and concert sales starting.” LYT final screening happened, fans spent money to attend and support it, and then literally the next day concert ticket sales started with prices that shocked a huge part of the fandom because nothing at that scale had been announced before for a couple concert like this. People suddenly had almost no time to financially prepare. Meanwhile later fandoms are now able to look at previous concerts, understand possible pricing beforehand, save money ahead of time, and prepare themselves better because they already saw what happened with PS first. That’s one of the biggest points people keep ignoring: PS fans were the -first fandom- experiencing this entire process in real time, so every uncertainty, every mistake, every badly handled situation happened to us first. And despite fans voicing concerns from the beginning, nothing changed. When Paragon Hall was announced (January), Thai fans immediately raised concerns because the venue already had a reputation for bad sound and visibility issues. The original announcement itself even said details could still be changed if necessary, so naturally fans hoped feedback would actually be considered. But despite months of complaints and concerns, nothing changed. Then ticket prices and benefits were revealed and fans became even more frustrated because benefits were reduced while prices increased. Some ticket tiers were being compared to prices for events like LOL Fan Fest or Riser Concert despite those events including multiple artists and couples+ 👇
