There is no "peaceful islam." There is only Islam, the offical brand of islam is the version as taught by the guardians of Mecca and Medina, Saudi Arabia. Specifically the Saud family. This is a story about Saudi Arabia and Islam most have never heard. Back in the 18th century Arabia, there was a wealthy businessman by the name of Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab. He was concerned about the state of Islam and took a tour of what was the "Islamic World" at the time. He believed that the religion had gone astray from its "true" meaning. Upon his return, he formed a group of followers that went from village to village, insisting on a very strict, verbatim following of the Koran. If the people of the villages and towns did not convert to his strict form of Islam, they were put to the sword. Before Wahhab, the several religions in the region(s) coexisted peacefully. His "army" grew as he moved through Arabia killing and forcibly converting the population.. The holy cities of Mecca and Medina were in his grasp. Whoever controlled the holy cities, was allowed to tax the pilgrams. (Umrah Tax) This pilgrimage is mandatory so this is quite profitable. The Saud family struck a deal with old man Wahhab. In turn for control of the holy cities and the Umrah) the House of Saud would make Wahhab's strict version of Islam the offical verison and allow Wahhab to continue his conquest. The Wahhabi brand of Islam is what Osama bin Laden promoted. There are Islamic K-12 schools throughout America. This Islamic education system is paid for by the Saudi Government and our tax dollars. They teach global jihad. This is why Islam is plaguing Europe and America. The progeny of old man Wahhab want it all.

But millions of people across Europe are now asking the same question: If governments are acting in the interests of their own people, why do they keep pursuing policies that so many of their own people oppose?
