BYU paid $7 million to AJ Dybantsa. He led the nation in scoring. Cool. They finished 10th in the Big 12 and were a 6-seed in the NCAA Tournament after losing a key guard to injury. They lost to an 11-seed Texas team that finished 10th in the SEC. Is that NIL $ well spent?

We need to start having a conversation about how much of a fraudulent NCAA Tournament team Saint Mary's is. One Sweet 16 in 14 tournament appearances since 1989.

The Padres told Team USA that Mason Miller could only pitch in a save situation. The Yankees told Team USA that David Bednar was unavailable. The Cubs told Venezuela that Daniel Palencia could only pitch in a save situation. There were other pitchers Venezuela didn’t have at their disposal because their MLB teams said they were unavailable. As much fun and as exciting as the WBC was this is exactly why it’ll always be a flawed tournament.

@Brandon_Warne Always used to be against 16 seeds in playin games. But now the winners of those games are basically getting an extra $2 million for their conference so I don’t mind it as much.
