@SorenPetro the Bullpen is not the question the hitting is the question. These guys couldn’t hit last year and they’ve already shown they can’t hit this year. Scoring runs fixes a lot of issues. Bullpen doesn’t make a difference if we’re down by four or five runs every game.

@jazayerli It’s more than just putting Estevez in. Terrible feel for the game. Nothing new here. Still can’t hit. Q is not a good game manager. A players coach who has no clue on what ti do in key situations. He guesses a lot and mostly wrong.

And really, I am trying to be as kind as possible with this assessment.
The less kind assessment is he had no business entering the season as the closer given what we saw in March. He is either injured or washed, and for his sake I hope an IL stint is forthcoming. Immediately.

Carlos Estevez losing tonight's game is on him. If it happens again, it is on Quatraro. You shouldn't overreact to one game, but this isn't one game. This is an entire spring. He has nothing. He shouldn't be pitching in close games, let alone closing, until that changes.

This engagement I had with the chief of staff with a Pennsylvania state senator who dropped into my feed is really an interesting new development in American politics. I was engaging with a local congressman from Philly when he dropped this into my feed & said this --which was interesting enough then in an act of bravery to make sure I couldn't engage back he turned his replies off. It's so disappointing.
