@StockMarketNerd Is an ad for a catering company in Baltimore to someone in California superior ad targeting? Why am I receiving so many poorly targeted ads compared to the past?
For a company like $SOFI, 2026 guidance is based on unemployment ending between 4.5%-5.0%.
If that doesn't happen, there is some likely risk to their targets.
Great to see that metric move back down from 4.4% to 4.3%. Good news for creditors. Good news for the entire economy.
@StockMarketNerd
How do you explain that prior to META’s superior AI targeted ads I never saw a continuous stream of way out of market ads? It never ends.
@StockMarketNerd maxed out how many ads they could comfortably squeeze into the traditional Feed a few years ago, the bulk of this recent revenue growth has come from injecting a heavier load of ads into Reels, Stories, and the Explore page.
In short, if your feed feels noticeably more cluttered
@StockMarketNerd Baked goods delivery service in New Jersey that says delivery/pickup only in NJ in their bio. Either the AI needs vast improvement or they are screwing this business. Either way, not good in my book.
@socalnative70 If he was lying then he’d also have to be fraudulently inflating revenue numbers because there’s a sharp acceleration coming from somewhere. And they don’t rent GPUs to customers.
@StockMarketNerd Unless the business sells online, I doubt most small businesses to medium sized biz are able to determine the return on their online advertising spend.
@StockMarketNerd It is hard for me to see from my personal use how AI is improving the ad targeting. I Google something and then I see ads for the product I clicked on or related products.
I am seeing way toomany way out of market small biz ads to believe the ad targeting has improved due to AI
@StockMarketNerd Yes, the ad load has increased dramatically. Reels went from few to no ads to a very heavy load. Also, Stories has had an ever increasing number of ads. I don't know what to say if you haven't noticed increased ad load over the past couple of years.
@StockMarketNerd If AI is targeting me with a rural PA natural foods store because I interact with Erewhon content in Los Angeles, then I think it is fair to conclude the AI is not working as sold to advertisers. I obviously do not trust Zuck like you do.
@StockMarketNerd A good portion of the people who listen to everything Elon has to say never doubt that he is saying anything that isn't not truthful or an exaggeration.
