My father, Prof Tripathi visited Uttam Nagar, Delhi today and spoke to local residents after the death of a 26 yrs old young man on Holi.
People there said it stemmed from an old personal dispute. Both families come from extremely poor backgrounds. Papa saw on the ground was grief ad not communal hatred.
Outside the locality, however, attempts are being made to turn this tragedy into a Hindu–Muslim narrative. Beware.
