@noctarienne yeah, there’s this sort of forced obsolescence of 4th gen groups driven by agencies that’s honestly quite sad to witness when many of them still have room to grow and haven’t reached their peak

I think most 4th gen grps have stable fds and the labels dont have the ambition to make them bigger than what they already are, the investment have clearly shifted toward building strong foundations for 5th gen grps, and 3rd gen is still alive mostly bc of bts…bc they’re bts

i know le sserafim are capable of so much more musically, of making things more fun and engaging because they are cool and amusing. but this track, despite sampling (too heavily) the macarena, manages to strip away all the fun of the original song

and i’m not saying this out of some hateful perspective. the song IS empty and poorly executed. if you take away the music video where there’s actually a lot going on visually, the song itself is bland

we are witnessing the musical downfall of the 4th gen group. this is terrible
