@BNekra Usually the vet has a pharmacy in the practice, but the prescription and medicine costs are separate. You can buy the prescription off the vet to take to a private pharmacy if the meds are cheaper online vs the practice pharmacy but you still pay it either way

This has got a lot of media attention but people are misunderstanding what’s actually happening. The UK is only capping the cost of the prescription slip. The cost of the actual medicine will still be on top of that price. Current average prescription costs are about £27 ($36)

@quesadaaa_ Found a large tumour on my ovarian tube in 2022. Every single encounter w a female gynae was dismissive, I actually had one say “ovarian cysts don’t cause pain” and waved me to go home. The only reason I had surgery and didn’t lose my tube is bc of a male gynae advocating for me.
