@ProfJohnARogers Excellent perspective. At the end of the day, real-world validation is, ultimately, the most rigorous form of peer review.

Happy to announce the publication of our Comment piece in Nature Nanotechnology, focusing on the intersection between clinical needs and capabilities of emerging wearable technologies, titled “Implementing clinical needs into the development of wearable health-monitoring technology,” (nature.com/articles/s4156…). A key message is that real progress in this area demands closely collaborative activities at the interface between engineering science and medical practice, the type of work supported by our Querrey Simpson Institute for Bioelectronics here at @NorthwesternU. The collection of authors includes four medical doctors, one PhD device engineer (myself) and one PhD expert in healthcare technology adoption. The result is an article designed to provide the scientists and engineers who dominate the readership of this journal with a deeply informed medical and regulatory perspective – take a look if you’d like to gain some insights. Thanks to co-authors Prof. @BrasierNoe (Institute of Translational Medicine, @ETH_Zurich) Prof. Anja Domenghino (Department of Surgery and Transplantation, University Hospital Zurich), Prof. Christoph A. Meier (Department of Internal Medicine, University Hospital Zurich and Department of Medicine, University of Geneva), Prof. Christine Jacob (University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland) and Dr. @stevexuMD (@Sibel_Health and @NorthwesternU). Thanks especially to Noe for taking the initiative to make this happen!

@Huckgroup @NatureChemistry @souvik2197 Thrilled to see this brilliant work from my former postdoc mentor in Cambridge, now at @Huckgroup Radboud University, published in Nature Chemistry! A fascinating demonstration of how enzymatic networks can process and encode temporal information.
English

Our recent @NatureChemistry paper demonstrates how resource competition can endow enzymatic reaction networks with reservoir computing capabilities to perform complex information processing tasks!

Happy Birthday, Michael Faraday! (1791-1867)
Faraday, a British scientist, excelled in electromagnetism and electrochemistry despite a humble education. He began his journey as an apprentice bookbinder, nurturing his passion for science.
