It really is incredible what consecutive sleepless nights of work can do to you, and eventually your product idea. The initial idea, Phase 1, was good: no reveal of identity or responses until both people respond. But it lacked something I personally would love – custom messages. Phase 2 shipped with everything stripped out, still featuring the blind reveal and fully custom messages. A couple of days later, while working on a completely different project, I suddenly realised softsaid in its current version is just messenger or WhatsApp with added steps and fewer features. That realisation struck me like lightning. I don't care if the app has zero users. I made it out of personal necessity, but the final product is just wrong! So I got to work, this time starting with proper research. Now the final product idea is ready. The final update will be released in about 12 hours: a redesign, not a complete overhaul. But now the app has real uniqueness, real usage potential and features no other apps currently have. I got into development late, and this world is new for me. Utmost respect to experienced web and app developers out there. Even the simplest-looking app can be immensely powerful in terms of user experience, and you make that happen regularly. If anyone is reading this, check the profile or website after a few hours. You may find it genuinely interesting! Criticisms are most welcome! If the app feels like shit, say it right here.
