Dhoni, Kohli and Rohit's strike rates across IPL seasons. The 3 lines tell 3 different stories, but also interesting to note the post-2023 bull runs for all 3, coinciding with the Impact Player rule.

All the #INDvsPAK theatre aside, why isn't it ever on a pace-friendly pitch? Most contrived matches I remember in recent years have had 10 spinners. Would have loved to see Bumrah on a spicy pitch dishing back the Shoaib Akhtar rib cage attack.

Neeraj Chopra calling over bronze medallist Japan's Genki Dean for a group photo after the Asian Games final last year. Neither Genki nor silver medalist Kishore Jena have made it through to the #Olympics final, but hope Neeraj re-enacts this later tonight. #Paris2024

@stfukarran Higuchi is gold medal favourite. Has 15-1 win loss record over last two years. Aman will have to give the fight of his life, but his form gives hope.

Guys as i don’t follow wrestling much, Aman defeated Abakarov, so what are our chances against Japanese ? Abakarov was so hyped by my fellow sports enthusiasts but Aman won one sided

Have this old BTS video of Mirabai Chanu getting her family to pose for a photo. That cupboard in the background will have just the one #Olympics medal. #Paris2024

Wrestler Pappu Yadav on his failed weigh-in at the 1996 #Olympics : "The weigh in was 70 km from the Games village and all Indian officials were at the opening ceremony." The only positive I take from the Vinesh Phogat tragedy is the level of outrage it has caused. #Paris2024

@VAAChandran Hahaha. Incidentally, our judo campaign this time lasted around 10 seconds.

@soiledshoes In Barcelona 1992, India had a judokas, Cawas Billimoria, competing in the 90+ kg category. Even before the journalists in the press-box got his pronunciation from the Indian journalists, he lost the bout.

With the Nishant Dev outrage & the outrage on the red card for Amit Rohidas in Hockey, imagine if India had a strong Rugby Union team & played regular Tests against New Zealand, South Africa, England & Aus? Elon Musk would need more servers, for every decision. #Olympics #Rugby
Vijay A@VAAChandran

Nishant Dev won the 1st round, despite a standing eight count. The 2nd round was very close & went to the Mexican. In the 3rd round, Nishant was on the backfoot for a bit & that's where Alvarez dominated. A close bout. But the result wasn't controversial. #Boxing #Olympics

@VAAChandran Thankfully our only loss in fencing at the Olympics was a pretty convincing one.

Nauru has had the shortest Olympics 2024 of any country in the world. It sent one athlete. Who ran the 100m heat in 11 seconds. And did not qualify. That is it. Nauru had an 11-second Olympics.

Taiwan win #Badminton men's doubles gold against China, their 1st gold of #Paris2024. -There are rising concerns in Taiwan of an imminent military blockade by China. -Taiwan's new President is said to be separatist. - Lee and Wang are proudly Taiwanese, thus disliked in China.
Wen-Yee Lee 李玟儀@Wenyee_Lee

#Taiwan’s Lee Yang and Wang Chi-Lin have made history by winning the gold medal in men’s doubles badminton at the Paris 2024 Olympics, defeating #China. This achievement also makes them the first Taiwanese duo to win gold at two consecutive Olympics!

Gautam Bhattacharya@gbsaltlake

Axelsen post match behaved as if he had won the Finals .As Lakshya Sen almost took him to jail .Pressure got to d the Bengali boy but few years down the line he will learn and win such big matches !! #ParisOlympics
