If you ever want published work that reads like it came straight of Devil May Cry on the Spardacest side, just read both Acheron's and Styxx's novels. The characters are twins, and there's a lot of taboo and incest in them. Styxx is basically Vergil and Acheron is Dante.

@cigsaftersexts You can skip DMC. Acheron first and then Styxx. Styxx will give you the overview and bigger picture and takes you through events that occurred during Acheron's book. If you want to read the rest of the series, Styxx and Acheron are sprinkled throughout it. I love Styxx' book.

@solacredo Btw what's the chronological order? Dmc->styxx->acheron?

@cigsaftersexts Please do and talk to me about it, because I think the author might've actually liked DMC because there are some things that just feel very much DMC inspired. Also, heads up, there is a lot of noncon in both books and each book is around 600 pages.

@bleed_peroxide I actually want to do an AU inspired by this because it has such good concepts. I haven't read a Spardacest fic where one twin's entire being is tied to the other one to maintain his existence. I am all about blending AUs and writing something different.

Acheron and Styxx' book are just one long read of "how much pain and sorrow can you handle and what will break you before you see the light?" and I had to take so many breaks when reading both books.
