@Spacemanspiff98 @fatassalfred I could understand that reasoning if other countries also used their military flags to represent themselves. However, since other countries use their national flags, I was simply stating the facts about Japan’s national flag. Please don't get me wrong—I'm not trying to argue.

@solar_sunlight @fatassalfred The rising sun flag is used to represent Japan because alot of Japanese troops encountered by American troops belonged to the IJN and/or the SNLF who used their Naval ensign which *also* has barely changed since it's creation in 1889

@dapplewastaken @fatassalfred Oh, that's right! The shade of red in the 🇯🇵 flag has changed slightly.😄 What I meant to say was that the Rising Sun Flag has never been the national flag. I often see people mistakenly believing that the Rising Sun Flag is Japan’s old national flag.
