@zama_fhe is built as a cross-chain confidentiality layer that works on top of existing blockchains (L1s/ L2s)
It uses the following core components:
-Host Chains (ethereum) where contracts live
-FHEVM Library: Developers write contracts using familiar tools
-Coprocessors: Off-chain nodes
-Gateway: An orchestration layer (smart contracts + rollup) that handles encryption/decryption requests
-Key Management Service: Uses MPC to split decryption keys across many nodes so no single party can decrypt everything
-Access Control: Smart contracts define who can see or decrypt what. This rule is enforced on-chain and via the Gateway
