Earlier today, we had the honour of welcoming the Strategy & Policy Council from @UrugwiroVillage to Solid’Africa. They explored our Farm-to-Plate model and the full scope of our nutrition infrastructure. From production at our Rugende farm to meal preparation at our Rusororo industrial kitchen, which produces up to 23,000 meals daily for patients and students across Kigali, This visit highlighted our integrated system designed to strengthen nutrition security, support local supply chains, and advance our ongoing partnership with the Government of Rwanda. #FarmtoPlate #NutritionSecurity #Rwanda

A huge thanks to @GHA_rwanda for their successful volunteer work day! 🌱💚 The students volunteered their time, helping with harvesting, peeling, and washing fresh produce, assisting in meal service to hospital patients, and offering amazing donations of basic necessities like sanitary products, soaps, toothbrushes, clothes, and more to brighten their day. 🙌 We’re so grateful for their incredible dedication! International Women’s Day Breakfast with Airtel, our Founder & President Isabelle Kamariza shared reflections from the early days of Solid’Africa, back in 2010. There was no big funding at the start. Solid Africa’s Farm in Rugende is where it all begins! Through our farm to plate model, we partner with over 7,000 smallholder farmers, more than half women. We provide training in climate smart agriculture and locally source food for nutritious meals in public schools and hospitals. Meals are prepared in our clean energy kitchens and delivered across Kigali with our electric vehicle fleet! Today, we serve six public hospitals and six schools. On 13th February, Kibagabaga Hospital hosted a special occasion for Patients Day 💛 We began in prayer, and listened to powerful words from hospital leadership that reminded us that healthcare is not just about treatment, it’s about compassion, and collaboration. The patient testimonies touched us deeply, and the stories of dedicated care were a beautiful reminder of why this work matters. We were truly honored to receive a recognition award for our continued efforts to provide nutritious meals to patients. We ended with sharing a special meal together.
