@RomeovilleKid Tbh he’s out his mind , so the highest paid qb right now is Dak Prescott who’s making 60 a year right now (crazy) and Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, trevor lawrence, Jordan Love is making 55 a year. Danny is not on the same level as these QBs. He had a couple of good games

Is it because you think DJ isn’t worth that much? Or is it more so cap-related and you’d rather spend the money elsewhere?
As long as the Colts can spread his cap hit out and get out of the contract by 2028, then I think they’ll be in decent shape.

I hear you, but I think saying DJ “isn’t worth that much” — which may be true — is a moot point if whatever he signs for doesn’t materially affect the rest of the team’s FA plans. Just gotta have an out by 2028, so if this goes terribly, you’ll at least have your 1R pick again.

I personally think he’s not worth that much. I know players want the money and I respect that a bunch. But his career and his injury history points to my opinion being less than $40M. I get his play up until when he got hurt and all that, but this just reminds me all up to when he got paid by the Giants.

He is getting lost in the bigger picture draft conversation right now concerning WR’s, but let’s not forget… Jordyn Tyson from Arizona State has every single skill/trait you want in a #1 WR. As long as he is healthy and with a QB that doesn’t suck, he will be the best WR from the 2026 draft.

I personally do not think Daniel Jones has much of a market. Coming off one of the best seasons of his career, but also his 2nd major leg injury to the same leg he injured in 2023.
I feel like the Colts will get a deal done, but are also willing to call DJ and his team’s bluff.

Everything I’ve heard from multiple sources suggests a tag designation from the Colts is likely at this point.
Less clear is which tag (franchise or transition) is utilized and on whom (QB Daniel Jones or WR Alec Pierce).
One real possibility: A transition tag for Jones.
