I don’t know why we don’t see the mess in the education sector and its implications on the economy, teenage pregnancies etc. Thousands of 12/13 year-olds are at home. Not able to join JSS. I know this because we have been overwhelmed by requests for support at the #AkombeFoundation. We have had wrap up our intake this year as we do not have the institutional capacity to take and manage more than 150 cases. Saying no to those in need has been one of the toughest decisions for us.

This includes our afterschool art classes, homeschool art classes for homeschooled learners, Saturday classes, and our Art Club for adults. We look forward to welcoming both returning and new students as we continue to nurture creativity, self-expression, and a love for the arts.

Last week, we had an incredible holiday camp filled with fun, creativity, and meaningful learning experiences for the children. It was truly a joy to see the kids explore, create, and grow through art. We’re now excited to return to our regular programming at Solika Arts! !
