A provably fair lottery on Solana works by committing in advance to use the hash of a future Solana block (or slot) as the random seed for selecting the winner.
Because future block hashes cannot be predicted before validators produce the block, neither the lottery creator nor players can know or manipulate the outcome ahead of time. Once the target block is finalized, anyone can verify the result with the formula which is open-sourced on our github.
