Plants of McCarty. Return the of the native. Crossvine (Bignonia capreolata) was once common. It largely disappeared. With removal of cats claw, crossvine is back; now it is in flower (it has gorgeous red flowers)-first time in ~30 years. A small step in recovery.

McCarty woods held up pretty well during hurricane. Some big branches down at south entrance. No major tree falls. Several Carolina plums snapped; one was blocking the E- W trail near E entrance— we removed it and opened up trail. Other limbs can be removed at Oct 27th cleanup.
