This Is Nvidia's Moment Lots of comparisons are being made between Cisco and Nvidia. Cisco provided the backbone to the internet, and Nvidia is doing the same for AI today. Cisco's products got commoditized, and margins went to zero over time. The current expectation is that the same thing will happen with Nvidia. But Nvidia can change the course of history and leverage its sky-high valuation to expand beyond just producing hardware. At a minimum, they can and will become a new-age AI cloud provider. They can also work with companies to develop foundation models and become one of the AGI companies. If they play their cards right now, they may become one of the iconic companies of our time, and from what I can tell, they are beginning to do some of this already. Fascinating times...
