A guess: The uncertainty in science funding in the US will -already- have a huge affect on PhD admissions for engineering schools this cycle, even before funding reductions hit (if they do). I expect historically low class sizes in CS PhD programs. Not good for US AI leadership.

I'm proposing a moratorium on using the Aaronson-Kuperberg oracle in any future quantum query separations. It is just too powerful and not pushing our query complexity research in the right direction!

Excited to share this new paper with Jack O'Connor and @_nickspoon! We improve our ZK-PCP construction to cover all of NEXP (with exponential proofs), scale it to NP with polynomial proofs, and obtain O(1)-locality via composition--yielding a ZK analogue of the PCP theorem. 1/3

Commuting local Hamiltonians are used as a stepping stone for many of quantum’s big open questions, like finding qPCP’s and sampling Gibbs states. Despite this, we know almost nothing about them.
