One of my senior math students did their final presentation on negative aspects of AI (cognitive decline, environmental damage, child pornography). It was amazing. They also talked about how they have seen changes in their friends who use it all the time.

The most stridently anti-AI people I’ve encountered haven’t been academics or activists, but students who see what AI is doing to their peers, and their plans for the future, and don’t like it. People worry that the kids are AIright, but fortunately a lot of them are alright…
