A full workflow breakdown of how we made Jonah — a 25-minute narrative AI film for Kingstone Comics.
If we were starting today, we’d build most of it in Veo3 and use Runway References to maintain character continuity — instead of relying on locked prompts and manually curating consistent outputs.
We’d also work scene by scene, generating, animating, and editing each scene in parallel, rather than creating all the frames first, then animating, then editing. That would’ve saved us from redoing base images later when inconsistencies appeared.
What we wouldn’t change: working with a real voice actor, sound designer, and composer. That made all the difference.
