The owner of RosneBot (was Catbook) also seems to have pulled their own YT page. Going dark maybe? Why could that be... @RosneGaming" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@RosneGaming#FixTF2
Github has pulled the RosneBot (was Cathook) repos which kills the build process for users of this bot. Alt repos will probably be setup again but it stymies the hosters even more github.com/RosneBurgerwor…#FixTF2
@JasonsTTs@valvesoftware Out of the mouth of Gabes: "Nothing is more likely to make a customer less likely to buy other games than a really bad game experience." Oh how right you are Gabe. How very right #FixTF2
Words of Gabe: "I go play games to have fun. And so we had to come up with some notion of what fun was." It's not being insta-killed by a bot every 30 seconds, I can assure you of that. #FixTF2
@valvesoftware Robin Walker: "With all of our products we’ve always tried to extract as much data as we can get from sales but also players comments and stuff like that…" We enjoy TF2, you're killing it, we're unhappy. Succinct enough? #FixTF2
From Robin Walker: "Cheats are probably the number one way to destroy the community. We really, really want to remove them and so we do everything we can to stop them." Sadly "destroy the community" is far too apt here #FixTF2@valvesoftware
Words of Gabe: "We constantly ask ourselves the question, how can we make our fans happy every day, and what are the different ways we can do that." Just the one way for now Gabe #FixTF2@valvesoftware
From Gabe: "We've essentially crowd-sourced supervision of a lot of these decisions to our customers and it works way better than almost any other system we could design. They're rabid, they're passionate, and there are a lot of them." So we're rabid and passionate eh? #FixTF2
Gabe's thoughts on customers: "We seem to be kind of reliable and trustworthy, and they like that." Well, I just choked on my coffee on that one. Oh how you've changed @valvesoftware You used to be cool #FixTF2
Words of Gabe: "Ninety percent of games lose money, 10 percent make a lot of money" You'd think you'd want to keep making those 10% work as well as you can, wouldn't you?? #FixTF2@valvesoftware
Gabe Newell: "Valve can basically get data back from 10 million people is maybe 10 minutes. Being able to have that for everything you do is insanely valuable" How about feedback from 300k people in 10 days?? Worth anything?? #FixTF2
@TaisHouseGaming Some will sign the petition, some will swear at @valvesoftware , some will post memes, some will boycott Steam, others will quietly go and find something else to play. Ultimately, we all want to #FixTF2 so we can play the game we enjoy.
@somsipcom Yeah, fair enough, actually.
Though I'm not sure that still playing it and only trying a petition will work, especially if it's still making money.
I'm more a "vote with your wallet" guy.
People are seriously still shouting at valve to #FixTF2 ?
How old is that game now?
Given that companies drop support for games after a year or two... I'm gonna be controversial and say it's ok to drop support for a game after a decade or two.
#WheresTF3
@EvieEvenaris A fair amount is made of the fact that Valve owns and protects its IP. I agree that open-sourcing TF2 would be good for the community, but it doesn't fit with past behavior of Valve unfortunately #FixTF2
I might be asking too much but... Am I the only one that thinks that the entirety of team fortress, both 2 and classic, as a public domain would be a marvel to look at? I often forget that its not honestly considering the cultural impact it has. Valve please... #savetf2#fixtf2
Not that I want to solve your problem for you @valvesoftware but how about grepping a server.log for chat text like "BOT RENTAL" and finding some steam IDs to ban. It really isn't difficult to do something #FixTF2
