@Rotoscare Facts. Pokemon at the end of the day is a franchise that caters to children. The generation who grew up with ash are now adults so logically it makes complete sense for the series to go a different route( how else are they gonna grab the new generations attention)

Even if you don't like HZ, it was a necessary step for the Pokémon franchise to expand and risk new territory for it's animated media. Letting the old to rest as the new Generation takes up mantle. It's gonna be a rocky road.
