I'm heartbroken to hear about Turkka Rantanen's sudden demise. He was already considered to be a great artist having made artworks for several legendary Finnish death metal bands but our relationship goes beyond that. We worked very closely on the layouts for dozens of Transcending Obscurity releases - almost all of them from 2018-2021 had layouts done by him and he even created the 2020 label sampler artwork. He was extremely easy to work with, possessing a mild temperament and amazing humour, and we even made sure to exchange cat pictures every now and then. I'm going to miss having him around. RIP, friend.
