I’m currently sitting with my family at the #savealicesprings meeting. An amazing but not surprising turn out. There’s still over a few hundred people outside that can’t come in as it’s over capacity and others that couldn’t make it. #standupforalice

My wonderful father in law passed away a few weeks ago. He was a great pastoralist and cattleman. Not having his knowledge to draw upon or telling him what we are up to will be hard. He would’ve been very proud of the steers up for auction this week.

Today dad had to pull a calf - third one this year after having no issues for 5. Tonight I moved it to the shearing shed to the warmth and to try and get some life back into it. Come back an hour later to find it lifeless in front of me. All that matters is we tried I guess 😔
