So what did you want him to do, lie about the situation and not be honest to the fans? He hasn’t said anything in any way disrespectful, he can’t win either way can he because he’ll be wronged for being quiet like the management above are and now he’s being wronged for being honest about the situation? Of course fans are going to have frustration about the current situation, but surely you can see there’s a lot of injuries, John can’t work miracles and in the grand scheme of things, Hull FC are 2 points off the top 6 in the league. If the fans believe a new coach can help them progress in a different direction that’s more than fair enough, but the issue isn’t with them terminating contract, it’s how it’s been handled.

@soph_wilkinson @Charlie201289 @zoeslater1 @JoCatColes the coach lost the respect when he came out saying what he said in his recent interview, nothing personal towards jed or to john they've both helped the club progress in the correct direction but its annoying as a supporter of the club to see the position we are currently in.

How is screenshotting someone’s story and calling it ‘fucking embarrassing’ when it’s a post about his dad, in any way not malicious or with bad intention? That’s not speaking about what’s happening about the club and again, like I said above, has no substance. If you want to support you’re club then maybe give the players and the coach some respect and support and get behind them in what is appearing to be a difficult time

In regard to being with Jed having anything to do with this, what I am tired of is @hfc_ellis constantly piping up to slate Jed, especially when its done for more interaction and attention for himself rather than having any actual substance in what he posts, it’s bullying tactics and pure nastiness. If there are real issues to discuss, fine but dragging things out for engagement and cheap shots is the embarrassing part, not Jed posting his dad on his story. Maybe it’s time to find something else to talk about.

& I understand that but John obviously respects the fans and the players enough to be open about what’s going on which given the nature of the job, is in the media. He’s speaking with honesty and integrity. He’s also spoken about the loyalty and bond he has with the players, which doesn’t align with the idea that he’s slagging the club off. Being honest about the situation isn’t the same as slagging the club off, it’s being accountable and professional and giving back to the fans who are likely sat with uncertainty in what’s going on
