I was trying to describe to my younger cousin what a period actually feels like because he wanted to know, when my uncle cut in and told me to quiet down. saying no one wants to hear that disgusting female nonsense. He then went on that women are just weak and dramatic, completely inventing how bad the pain is just to get attention and make men feel sorry for them. Then his daughter chimed in with “No wonder mom left you,” and I just went OH MY GOD!

Bcs it’s not period pain. Period pain, the unique and specific cramps, comes from the cervix opening. Fun fact, that’s why women say getting an IUD inserted feels like period cramps. Bcs your cervix is being dilated a little bit to get something shoved through it. (Source: I went through 40 mins of my doctor trying to insert mine before having to be referred to gynaecologist, which then resulted in day surgery) Periods CAN come with other cramps, but those aren’t specifically period cramps. Period means menstruation. Trans women need to like get together and have a powwow and come up with some trans women exclusive terms for their own experiences. It would nip bioessentialist TERFs in the ass AND validate their own lived experiences with their OWN terms to articulate their OWN specific experiences.

@Becky_Weiss_ I’m trans man & I go to female toilets! In my opinion there should be more gender neutral spaces, because the problem isn’t the toilets itself but the fact that they’re gendered which upsets trans people. However I don’t mind because at the end of the day it’s just a toilet.

We as women are under no obligation to accept nor welcome men like this into our spaces.
