I remain steadfast in my support of Ben Roberts-Smith despite news of his arrest today. Ben, his immediate and broader defence family need the Australian people’s support right now and I will not abandon him like so many other politicians. Ben was disgracefully arrested in front of his twin 15 year old girls. He will be held in jail for 7 days. He gets just one bail application. If that application fails, they can hold him for 2 years. AFP and OSI have spent $300 million dollars over 10 years to get to this point.

@TonyLiebert Clearly insurance… nowadays you don’t know who will commit or flip commitment. Coach Lig has a pretty solid background working with Aussies so it was pretty obvious when he recruited one this transfer portal cycle that it would he to pick up a more versatile punter.

@sossenethan What was the point of recruiting Richter then? They got a new Special Teams coach last season, who has had a multitude of different punting strategies throughout his coaching career. Any real keen eyed fan would make the connection.

I think the punter competition between Brody Richter and Tom Weston could carry into the regular season. I'd give Richter the slight edge. Syracuse transfer Brady Denaburg will be the starting kicker imo, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Daniel Jackson at some point. Nobody has really 'won' either competition at camp. The team/stadium usually talks about and reveals the new food options around this time of year before the season starts.
