#seaofthieves insider has recently added heaps more FOV sliders to customise the player experience (good) but has set the max wheel FOV to 90 (bad). This means if you are playing on high FOV, each wheel interaction will cause a zoom in or out (gross). I’m sure this was done in order to balance the gameplay of guarding boarders (so the helm can’t see too much at once) but… 1. If you have over 10 hours in sot, you will know that a prolonged holding of the wheel while a boarder is around is already a mistake, as once you can see them climbing from ladder to deck, you have to let go of the wheel and pull out your gun (big time waste and the boarder will likely get to shoot first) 2. Sot gameplay isn’t meant to look like fnaf (rapidly looking left and right for danger). Boarder defence primarily relies on sound cues which is how a player can determine to focus on the left or right side of the boat 3. Widescreen players have this increased left and right vision already so they will continue to have this “advantage” while the rest of the playerbase doesn’t 4. The zoom in and out feels really gross for players choosing to run higher than 90 FOV everywhere else TLDR Feels gross / looks bad. Doesn’t actually provide balancing. No one should be on wheel shaking left and right in combat on any fov, we already know what ladder they are on from the sound Plz change
