So, Ben Jamal and I have been convicted for organising a peaceful protest against genocide in a bizarre decision by one judge.
This is a big attack on civil liberties.

I am appalled by today’s verdict against Ben Jamal and Chris Nineham.
In January 2025, we held an entirely peaceful demonstration in support of Palestinian people. At all times, they — and we — followed all police instructions. We ended the demonstration by laying down flowers at their feet to mourn the deaths of Palestinian children.
Today’s verdict is a dark day for civil liberties in this country — and is a disgraceful assault on the right to protest. My solidarity is with Ben, Chris and all those who have stood up for our common humanity in the face of genocide.
This case is part of a wider attempt to intimidate the Palestinian solidarity movement into silence. They will never succeed.

Nottingham Inquiry is powerful example of what happens when families are coherent, organised and do own research. Police completely flummoxed and often start to turn on them. Agencies have got so used to trying to “game” responses to tragedy and they rail at loss of control

Courage and lack of. Det Supt Sanders knew this was a case of murder. His team rebelled as they found out that murder was not going to be perused. There were divisions between the ranks and real discord as all officers wanted a charge of murder. You lacked courage, on the day.
