Recently, we’ve had the pleasure of recording some excellent sounding cars to add to our sound library. Here’s a brief video compilation of the recording sessions. Sounding Sweet recorded the sound of various cars such as a Porsche Carrera 993, Nissan with a M60B40 V8 Engine, Toyota Chaser with a JZX100 Engine, McLaren 720S, Subaru Impreza Type RA, Honda Integra Type R, Nissan Skyline 1971, BMW M5 V10 and a Mazda RX7 to create sound effect libraries for use in TV audio post production, Film and video games. Microphones are attached to the vehicles to capture a close onboard perspective of the exhaust, engine and interior. Multiple exterior recording perspectives were also used to record pass-bys, drive offs and drive ins using surround sound microphones.
