@gardentart Hi, we're sorry for the delay. Didn't get this notification. Our lid is snug-fitting but not airtight. You'll need to place it on a flat shelf in the freezer until frozen. Do not turn it on its side until it is frozen. Send us a message if you have any other q's.

@SouperCubes
I was so excited to get my 2 cup trays but am beyond disappointed.
Just spent 24 hours making Turkey broth and $90 on the cubes and they don’t seal!
Spilled stock all over trying to put them in the freezer.
Is there a reason they don’t seal?

@the_dadchef Brilliant idea. Love that you used the entire strawberry.

Leftover Smoked Kielbasa and white bean soup from my freezer.
Baked in @SouperCubes stoneware for 40 minutes at 350 and I have a beautiful homemade soup to eat since I’m feeling lazy.
Here’s the recipe for the fresh soup:
- 1 pound smoked kielbasa
- 2 cans (15.5 oz) of great northern beans drained
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 yellow onion
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2.5 cups of kale
- 1 handful of parsley
- 32 oz chicken stock
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Seasonings:
Salt, pepper, oregano, thyme, rosemary, garlic powder.
Steps:
1. Add your butter and EVOO to a pot and once melted cook your smoked kielbasa for 5-7 minutes.
2. Add your onion and garlic, cook another 2-3 minutes
3. Add some seasonings
4. Add in your Worcestershire sauce and cook another 2-3 minutes
5. Add more seasonings.
5. Add in your tomatoes and beans. Combine well.
6. Add in chicken stock and simmer for 20 minutes roughly.
7. Add in your parsley and kale and cook another 10-15 minutes.
8. Serve and enjoy.

I used to eat a lot of frozen stuff from the grocery store before I took cooking seriously.
Batch cook your own meals and freeze them. It’s a life savor with young children and stressful work days. Pay your future self with a homemade frozen meal.
Takes 30 minutes to heat up, not even.
In this video I’m heating up some of the hamburger helper from earlier this week (recipe in a prior video) and adding some homemade beef stock (or bone broth as the internet calls it) to make a sort of soup.
Delicious and filling.

Batch cooking your own sauce and freezing some will keep you from buying overpriced jars of sauce at the store when you’re in a pinch.
This is about 10 pounds of canned San Marzano tomatoes with some onion, carrot, celery and garlic (I had to use elephant garlic since all the garlic at my store was gross).
Start with extra virgin olive oil in a pot and cook down your mirepoix for 3-5 minutes. Add in your garlic and cook another couple minutes. Add in tomato paste (I used a 4oz tube). Cook another 3 minutes. Add in your tomatoes, fresh basil, fresh oregano, parmigiano reggiano rinds (the end of the cheese block, it becomes soft and adds umami to the sauce) salt and pepper.
Simmer this for 3-8 hours (longer you go the more concentrated the flavor and the sauce will reduce some).
If you have a blender or food processor, blend up all of the sauce into a purée. This isn’t necessary, but it will be a better texture if you do this.
Add in some extra virgin olive oil and more salt and pepper if you need it.
Transfer to freezer safe containers and store.
