Our New Orleans chapter is distributing food to unhoused comrades in #hurricanida. Many are w/out an evacuation plan. We offered rides to the shelter; most chose to ride out the storm outside rather than in shelters that split them from loved ones, pets and needed medications

"de-arresting, reclaiming housing w/out appealing to authorities, or blocking housing court so that evictions are brought to a halt, are effective ruptures that can and should be part of any mutual aid toolbox. this is @southern_solid's view as we distribute food, clothes & info.
