Months ago my neurologist ordered a neck MRI for my headaches. In addition to severe degenerative disc disease, it was noted that I have a large nodule on my thyroid. Weeks later an ultrasound confirmed significant growth. Today I'm getting a biopsy. I need some good news.

Had a brilliant short essay idea when I was driving. Used the voice app on my phone, and thought I was winning my #writerslife. Next day, listened back. It makes no sense. See also: waking up from a dream, feverishly writing on bedside notepad, then reading it back next morning.
