I have an idea for a new project: an ALTERNATIVE magazine about #Joomla containing fact-based news articles, unconstrained by perceived negative bias. If you would like to be involved with this project, send me a private message and we'll discuss it. 🗞️

Geez there's a lot to remember when you build a new website: you get the colours, fonts and layouts ... and then you have to get all those "analytics" things done (not to mention submitting the site for indexing on your favourite search engines).

I'm finding THOUSANDS of files in a new #Joomla website. There are heaps of samples, index.html files, etc.—all of which consume space—but if you spend an hour or so, you can trim your website down by a few MBs.

It's taking a while to develop this magazine website about #Joomla. I've arrived at an early proof-of-concept stage but there's a helluva lot of work involved. I'm not surprised that webcraft beginners get so confused about what to do. 🤦‍♂️

Little by little, my new #Joomla magazine site is taking form. It's been a while since I created a J! website and I've forgotten a lot about some of the traps that people easily fall into.

I hate the term "refresh" when it comes to RE-INSTALLING Windows, installing all those apps and trying to remember all those extra bits you need to do. However, the job's done; the laptop is working (it's even working faster) and there's enough done to make it usable. 🥱

Damn nuisance: my laptop decided not to reboot. I spent the last day or so "refreshing" it. Not a major drama as I only use it as a backup to my desktop PC but I do my videoconferencing from the laptop. It's now "good enough" to use for most things. 😀
