Supergirl looks like shit. Stop lying to yourselves. It has no cinematic flare. Just another Gunnesque Superhero movie with mid tier appeal. The DCU is shaping up to be another failed experiment that did zero to shift the conversation away from Snyder’s vision for DC. Geoff Johns and John Berg couldn’t do it Hamada couldn’t do it Gunn and Safran are failing at doing it.

The underwater heist in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation was heavily advertised but always leaves us a bit cold. Does it rely too much on CG… or is it still a top-tier set piece?

OPINION: After “James Gunn’s Superman,” “Superman Returns” is officially a masterpiece. Saves the space shuttle. Saves Lois and a plane full of innocent people. Stops bullets with his chest and eyeball. Stops a runaway car. Global news montage of Superman saving people. Stops a man from falling to his death. Stops a giant sign from crushing people. Stops a massive fireball from exploding under Metropolis. Keeps the giant Daily Planet globe from crushing Perry White and others. Lifts a multi-ton yacht out from underwater. He even throws a giant mountain of kryptonite into space. And he does all of that alone—no dog, no other superpowered beings needed. Also, the people appreciate and respect this Superman. His relationship with Lois is a love story, not a battle of the sexes. And there’s even a Superboy. The difference is clear. In 2006, Warner Bros LOVED their male hero. Since 2025, they hate him.

@SpyHards And said harsh reality of paranoia creeping up when Kara talks positively of Whittiker. The naive bright eyed innocence of Kara threatening to be shattered by Bond and his harsh realities. Fleming’s cynical anti hero finally came to the screen and no one did it better than Dalton

@SpyHards The aftermath of Saunders’ murder in Vienna. I always say; Everyone meet James Bond, the tragic anti hero. Bond filled with rage and then despair at having the brief sojourn with Kara shattered by the realities of his world. 1/2
