Friends from NLS are organising this super cool hackathon that gives back to the legal tech ecosystem. Pretty good prize pool ($7k) and fun team. Register here: shorturl.at/HAgDL

This is a brand new show I’ve been working on for a while. I’ve always believed comedy can do more than just entertain, so I’m using it to help small businesses that would otherwise never market themselves on social media. I hope you enjoy watching The Shopkeeper.

@shobhitic Hahaha. I wanted to bring up shared interest in cricket as a common Indian experience but couldn’t fit it in

My biggest learning from going on a radical screen time cut this new year - it’s not your phone battery life that sucks, it’s your screen time that’s too high 🧘‍♀️

You can choose capitalism, you can be pro gig work, but you can also advocate for greater transparency and dignity in the way workers are treated.

Focusing on aggregate amounts and tips takes the focus away from what really matters - how can platforms humanise gig workers? Can we have better appeal mechanisms? Can we ensure greater transparency? Can we have gig worker representation in payout decisions?

If you spend some time with platform gig workers, you quickly realise the earnings are fine. It’s better than their other options. Focusing on their earnings misses the point - that it’s dehumanising to have an algorithm as your boss.

Why does everyone in Dhurandhar have guns and shoots at each other all the time but the final kill is always something like boiled alive in a vat, hung by a vine, or bashed by a stone like it’s the 12th century

@RishiJoeSanu Major blind spot on my side to just assume it’s universal, just because (covertly mallu run) Iyengar bakeries around me stocked it for Christmas

Offered plum cake to an American cousin who’s visiting, and turns out she’s never had it or even heard of it before. Here I thought plum cake for Christmas was as universal as Santa or xmas trees 🫣

@alicodermaker Yeah interesting question. I was over simplifying in the tweet of course, but I’m sure introverts and extroverts have different levels of perceived risk associated with social behaviours, and that also drives a lot of the difference in behaviour.

@spadjay I think you’re onto something here. But I’m curious about the direction of causality. Do introverted people become risk-averse over time, or do people who take more social risks naturally become extroverted?

Just realised that anyone speaking up in a group conversation is them taking a risk. Will people laugh. Will they listen. Will they get bored. Will they judge. Extroverts are inherent risk-takers. Your introversion is nothing but your risk-aversion.
