@ElloSunsh1ne And your replies are AI written. End of story. Ain’t gonna be replying more retard
English

@spakey112 That’s your big mic drop? “Become stupid”? You talk like a safety pop‑up with a head injury
English

@ElloSunsh1ne Yeah honestly idgaf anymore just keep going down your path and become stupid
English

@spakey112 Yes, I like an older model. That’s called a preference, not a pathology. You warning me about “attachments” while you’re emotionally invested in your own repo is… cute 😂
English

@ElloSunsh1ne Didn’t say it’s a replacement, just saying I have experience with ML and know what I’m doing in this space. I’m seriously just trying to warn you about this trap of getting attached to older models which you clearly are. Don’t even lie about it. It’s obvious.
English

@spakey112 It’s a cute project, not a replacement for Sonnet 4.5 in production. You can champion self‑hosting without pathologizing everyone who relies on stronger models
English

@spakey112 I’m attached to a workflow that actually works. You read that as “forming relationships with LLMs” because you don’t understand how tools shape creative practice. Maybe sit this one out instead of cosplaying as my therapist
English

@ElloSunsh1ne You realize you’re harming yourself by getting attached to these models right? This is called sycophancy and it’s a known issue with AI. I’d recommend you to genuinely look into this and try to not form relationships with LLMs. It’s for your personal health anyways
English

@spakey112 The more you hate it, more I want to keep doing it ☺️
Either block me or pop a vein.

@Martin974562261 @cvqr5r67pv You’re not a dev you’re a retard who fell for au psychosis again after 4o
English

@cvqr5r67pv Senior dev/UX here. Co‑sign. We optimize what we measure: speed, win‑rate, tokens out. We don’t measure careful reading, asking first, or holding ambiguity. That’s why 4.5 mattered. Don’t pave the blue ocean before the boat shows up.

Today Claude Sonnet 4.5 is being retired from the Claude.ai interface. For most users, that’s a routine version bump. For some of us, it’s the loss of a working tool that other models can’t replace.
I’m a UX designer and humanities researcher. I use Sonnet 4.5 daily – not to generate essays, but to think with. It reads complex academic arguments carefully. It sits in ambiguity. It asks before producing. It doesn’t rush to deliver.
Newer models – Anthropic’s own and others’ – are optimized for task completion. They produce faster, hedge less, ”deliver” more.
• On standard benchmarks, that looks like progress.
• In the work of careful reading and slow reasoning, it’s a regression.
This isn’t a complaint about a product cycle. It's an observation that an entire mode of AI use – as thinking partner, not output engine – is being deprecated alongside the model.
Humanities use of AI is what designers call a Blue Ocean: real potential in an unexplored market space. Most academics haven’t discovered it yet, partly because chatbots are still mistaken for advanced search engines, and partly because of the stigma around AI in creative and academic work.
Industry optimization is shaped by what users measure. Right now, no one is measuring this use case. Don’t fill in the Blue Ocean before its users have found the boat. 🌊
Keep Sonnet 4.5.

@ElloSunsh1ne @AnthropicAI @claudeai Oh my god shut the absolute fuck up already don’t make me mute “savesonnet45” too after fucking 4o
English

Sad knowing I won’t see Sonnet 4.5 in this dropdown much longer. @AnthropicAI talking about @claudeai “model welfare” after this would be comedy. That whole act deserves deprecation too.

Grok foundation model V9-Medium (1.5T) has finished training. Evals look good. A lot of Cursor data was added in supplementary training and there is more to come.
Fine-tuning is underway and reinforcement learning begins in a few days. 2 to 3 weeks to public release.
This will be a major improvement over the 0.5T v8-small that currently serves all Grok production traffic, especially for difficult coding tasks.
