As a State Pension is now classed as a benefit even though the majority of people have paid into this all their working lives then this will surely mean that it will never be taxed even if it goes above the tax threshold.

@Jenny_1884 My biggest gripe is Pension Credit. Why do people like me who have worked since 16 for 50 years paid in get the normal state pension but someone who has basically not bothered to pay their NI stamp for years get the same benefit with Pension Credit???
