"The DUP have worked out their sums and believe the bill could secure the support of 75 of Stormont's 90 MLAs. That calculation is based on a series of votes in the Stormont chamber last year when an amendment similar to this bill was proposed by Sinn Féin."

Human rights compliant abortion legislation means provision in the case of severe fetal anomaly That is what Westminster legislated for, in line with CEDAW. Any attempt to block this is an attempt to deny women in the North their rights. @sinnfeinireland must vote against this.

Paul Givan & @duponline did not support the rights of disabled people when they supported welfare reform & austerity. They ignore the needs of disabled women themselves who face even greater barriers to accessing much needed reproductive healthcare. #DroptheBill #NoForcedTravel

Currently listening to @maireadenright in @together_safety event about safe access zones to abortion care in Ireland. Where does it work best? What activities are the most harmful? Careful design that learns from other successful models would be most helpful #togetherforsafety

@maireadenright @together_safety There is some consideration given to the idea that legislation & carceral approaches wouldn't be necessary if telemedicine was rolled out & abortion services properly decriminalised. Most (but not all) abortion seekers can be treated with EMA by telemedicine. #TogetherforSafety

Safe Access Zones are most likely to be met with "free speech" demands but the same people never have a word to say about other people who are moved on eg: begging or street performing... freedom of conscience might be their strongest argument.

Telemedicine has proven to guarantee safe, accessible abortion care to women and girls across Great Britain. We need to ensure this continues. #PillsbyPost Respond to the Government consultations here: 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿gov.uk/government/con… 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 gov.wales/termination-pr…

Today, President Biden furthered his commitment to protecting women’s health care by issuing a Presidential Memorandum. The memorandum immediately rescinds the global gag rule and takes steps to protect and expand access to reproductive health care.

Today is #HumanRightsDay. Despite UN CEDAW finding our then abortion law to be a grave & systematic violation of our rights, and us attaining decriminalisation over a year ago, we still do not have #FreeSafeLgalLocal abortion care. Watch this video to learn more #16Days #16DaysNI
