In Kuching. Orangutans, clubs, reflexology(?), markets and food. Crushing heat but still wear whitecoats.

Off to Borneo....

Day of rainforest in a city, towers, lake garden, birdparking and yet more oppressive heat and thunderstorms. Phew

Tour of the malaysian countryside with a very White Tiger taxi driver. Rode an elephant and amost got strangled by a snake.

Arrived in KL. It is pretty warm here. Thankfully the queue to enter the country was only an hr and a half.

Goodbye Melbourne

Back from Byron, to do mornington and penguins. A Very Long Day. Looking forward to Wine tour/royal wedding tomorrow.

Went to Scienceworks in Melbourne. Appalling lack of science. Not suited at all to Oxford graduates.Thank god I spent the morning on pubmed.

Ate kangaroo last night. A delicious comparison with feeding them last week.

Recovering from the Tasmanian 'weekend'. Awesome amounts of food, walking and driving. And doing Cradle Mt x3. And not killing animals.

Weather has become very changeable. Have had to console ourselves with trips to winebars and the market.

Good Sydney times. Bit of Rachmaninoff in the Opera House, walks and walks in the Blue Mountains then back to Bondi and the aquarium.

Printing out boarding passes for Sydney in the morning. Let's go enjoy another city for a bit.
