You are not seeing the whole picture. When he gets to 6-2 running an injured plagued team Todd Bowles is over delivering beyond reasonable expectations. Now on the second half of the schedule many players came back to the team right? But you never asked a very important question. In which side of the ball were most of those injured players that returned to the team? Offense! When many of our mediocre defensive players started to struggle and our defense could no longer keep safe performances, did Todd Bowles had viable options to replace the players that were underperforming? No! So is it reasonable to expect that a coach will be able to make mediocre players play well all the time? No! He managed to make them outperform their abilities many times in the first half of schedule and funny enough , Todd Bowles defense gave the opportunity for our offense to put the game on ice in at least 3 games and the offense choked and we ended up losing the game. So context matters. Simple statements not looking for context and real answers lead us to the wrong conclusions.

Do people actually think Todd Bowles and Jason Licht are sitting there like “yeah we’re cool getting fired after this year” They want to win. They aren’t tanking.

Then I ask people what did Jason Licht do in free agency or offseason to improve our defensive roster so we can improve from 8 wins to 12 wins and go deep into NFC championship game? - Jason Licht addressed MLB need signing 31 year old Anzalone. But if you want to understand white privilege and veiled racism you just have to observe how lenient people are regarding Jason Licht’s obvious and continuous incompetence while Bowles is held to a much higher standard of performance that is completely unrealistic when you simply observe the level of roster help and level of regression he has been facing in the last 4 years. No coach will be able to overcome Jason Licht’s incompetence! The 3&28 really happens every offseason, free agency and draft. It materializes when we see Bowles frustrated in the sidelines or talking about communication after our losses. Todd Bowles take this approach because if he would go to the post game press interview and say Jason Licht is an incompetent GM that is unable to sign Edge Rushers, MLBs, Starting level Cornerbacks and etc, Bowles would be fired the very same day. Todd Bowles instead draws up different pressure looks and gamble on risky blitzes because he tries to compensate for our severe roster limitations caused by a very incompetent GM that is never pressured or challenged by local Bucs media coverage. Because journalists don’t do real journalism and hold him accountable for his incompetence, a large number of fans are led to believe that we have a Todd Bowles issue and completely ignore Licht’s horrible work as a GM.
